Chris and Colleen Parrish reside in Raleigh, NC, and spend every moment they can on Bald Head Island. The time they spend on BHI is full of lasting memories with their four kids, enjoy breathtaking sunsets, and wind down from everyday life. Their Bald Head island adventure started a decade ago when the Parrish family began vacationing on the unique, beautiful Island with their family and friends. Over the years, they have breathed the Island’s salty air, walked its lovely beaches, and experienced BHI’s family culture. These lasting experiences eventually led them to design and build their Bald Head Island dream home.

Both Chris and Colleen have always had a passion for the home building process, from renovations in their first home to designing and building their current home in Raleigh, NC. Their building process starts with finding the best-skilled contractors to complement a low maintenance modern design while constructing the perfect place for entertaining and relaxing with family and friends. While taking this creative journey, they decided that they would love to share their experience and knowledge with other families so they, too, could build lasting family memories.

Homes by Parrish has a history of hard work and achievements that lead up to this love and adventure for building custom homes. Chris Parrish is a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill and extended his education at Appalachian State University, where he received his MBA. After graduation, Chris started his home-building journey by helping his father with a family community in Benson, NC, Desert Pines. Upon completing Desert Pines, they embarked on building, developing, and maintaining a large manufactured home community, Parrish Manor, in Raleigh, North Carolina. Through these experiences, Chris received his NC unlimited contractor’s license.
The other half of the team, Colleen Parrish, received her bachelor’s in nursing from the University of Virginia and a master’s in nursing from Duke University. She worked for 14 years as a pediatric nurse practitioner before retiring to focus on their four children and add an eye for design with a women’s touch to their construction business.
They are excited to bring their experience and knowledge to building beautiful custom homes on Bald Head Island.
